A community development company working in Galway City.
We have been in existence since 1996 and we aim to tackle disadvantage and social exclusion, with a particular focus on helping those who are long-term unemployed.
The Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP) is co-funded by the Irish Government, through the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, and the European Union, through the European Social Fund Plus under the Employment, Inclusion, Skills and Training (EIST) Programme 2021-2027.
We support people, community groups and social enterprises by providing social activities in the community, information & guidance, help with grant applications and more.
We support individuals through learning, training, and community education to build confidence, skills, and achieve personal and professional goals.
We help people gain skills, access jobs and explore enterprise opportunities.
We help children and young people through early years supports, afterschools provision, youth projects and help to remain in education.
We support New Communities through provision of English classes, migrant rights services, social activities, training and more.

We offer training, employment and self employment. We provide one to one guidance on professional CV creation and interview preperation.
Community Supports
We work to promote the social inclusion of the most marginalised in our society, working in specific geographic communities and with identified communities of interest.

From Pre-school to Adult Education GCP offers programmes and supports to young people and Adult learners through GRETB, VTOS, GCC and LESN
